I've sold jewelry, cleaned jewelry, priced jewelry and displayed jewelry. i've worked the bench (that means jewelry repairs and such), started designing jewelry + studying diamonds; I received my diamond grading certificate from GIA (and yes, WE CAN FILL ANY OF these DESIGNS with diamonds). Nope, we don’t mass produce things around here + that’s intentional. This jewelry is made close to home + with care + quality. Allow 3-4 weeks for rings-they are made just for you. Necklaces + bracelets are often in stock + will arrive in 1to 2 weeks. Not in stock? It may be 3-4 weeks. Don’t worry, it’s worth the wait. In this world of next day everything, we’re going back to basics, taking the time that it takes + enjoying the anticipation.
WHAT’S IN THE NAME?
So, so much love is in the name Millie to Marie. That’s Grandma Millie in the middle, my Mom on the left + Daughter on the right; we all share the middle name Marie. That’s a strong group right there, every single one of them.
My grandma was the the smartest in her class, but couldn’t go to college, her family was just too poor. She perservered + led just about every club in her small town. She could have done anything she set her mind to, but it was a different time + there wasn’t the opportunities there are for women today. She was a fabulous grandma, always teaching me things + spending time with me outside at her lake cabin. She’s the one who taught me hand lettering; she’d love the ALWAYS collection. My Mom has had so many obstacles in her life + yet she has always given us such unconditional love. She’s always been my biggest fan + supporter. She’s lived with Alzheimer’s for the last decade. Not fun stuff. She’s my hero. And my daughter, my girl on fire. She’s taught me so much; I’m so lucky to be her mom. The things she can do in this world are endless, the world is her oyster. I want to show her that you go after your dreams.
So, although I had quite a long list of fun names for this line of jewelry, it always came back to these three. This is for them.
Millie to Marie’s very first design, I layed my vintage key collection out for inspiration + started drawing + drawing + drawing some more. Both feminine + masculine, this final key’s design boasts vintage + modern simple.
